Thought of the Day: “but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8
Daily Challenge: Make a date to serve someone else.
Today I am going to share with you a different type of date concept. When most people think of a date they think of two people, or a group of couples, going out to do a fun activity. While I agree, I also think it’s important to go out on dates together or with other people (couples or not) to serve others. By working together to help someone else, you learn a lot about each other and have the opportunity to make a difference.
Here is a photo of Austin and I working at a Special Olympics Basketball event a few years ago. We went with our youth group and got to serve lunch, keep score, and cheer on the players.
Don’t forget to set time aside to work together and help someone else. You may surprise yourself with the things you learn and the blessing it is in your life.
