You Know You’re A College Student When…

I’ve been a Freshman in college for about 6 weeks now and I have definitely began to understand this culture. I really am enjoying my time here and in many ways, it has made me more aware and thankful of the blessings in my life. It has been crazy, emotional, fun, exciting, and productive. If you are, or have ever been, a college student, you will know what I mean.

You Know You’re A College Student When…

the highlight of your day is the multiple washing machines available down the hall from your room

you open up the lint collector in the dryer and it is so thickly coated that you have to bang it on the trashcan to remove it

Peanut Butter and Jelly is the best meal you’ve had all week

you are so tired that you cannot possibly blink without dozing off

Facetime/Skype are the best inventions possible because they keep you connected with those you love

you meet 100 people in one day and are lucky to remember just 1 person’s name

you shower in flip flops and “squeak” all the way back to your room

you spend $100 on a textbook and open it one time all semester

you pay attention to what is served for dinner and make sure it’s not part of your lunch

you get out of class early and spend the time completing homework or reading

life starts after 9 p.m.

“free food” means “i’ll be there” no matter what the event is

you walk to the showers and someone took “yours” so you walk back to your room to wait even if there are three others open

you have an 8a.m. class and the only motivation for getting up is the fresh omelets in the cafeteria (best food here)

you are supposed to meet up with friends for lunch on Saturday at 12:45 and you don’t wake up until 12:47

writing in a planner to stay organized makes your life look unorganized and messy

you have someone else’s dirty laundry strewn across your room

“time for yourself” involves coffee and a textbook

you either love your roommate or hate them (I love mine)
