For the first time ever I was not able to spend Easter weekend with my family. They were all at LTC in Tucson and I kept seeing pictures and Facebook posts about how much fun they were having. It was super weird! Austin and some of his buddies planned a weekend camping trip and
My friend Emily’s parents were so sweet and invited me home with them for a night over the short break. We woke up bright and early Friday morning and drive 4 hours to her home. Her mom greeted us with homemade waffles and we spent the afternoon running errands, playing tennis, and reliving my childhood by playing Nintendo-64. It was so much fun! Emily and I stayed up late talking about wedding stuff and telling stories and laughing. It was a perfect night off. We got to sleep in and after breakfast we headed back to school. It was such a nice short break from school and we still had plenty of time to highlight all the tasks off our to-do lists as well.

We were back in Lubbock for Easter so Emily and I woke up and made the 30 minute drive out to worship with our church family. We were so glad that we went and really enjoyed the lessons. After church wet were invited to join a family for lunch and were sent away with full bellies and leftovers for the boys. It was definitely a nice way to spend Easter weekend.
